Week 10

The mission is great. I don't have any time to write como simpering, (like always), but here's some pictures from the week. These are posted on my facebook under Nicholas Rabow. My Mom tagged me on Week 10 pictures. Here are some fun things that Elder Rabow sent us this week;
Singing in Spanish is the only way to do it. I can't even remember hymns in English. We got some candy for Halloween Dulces o Trabasauras? (Sweets or work?) jaja. I wouldn't have been able to understand my email either in the CCM. I have learned so much Spanish, de Hecho, (in fact) I am starting to forget English. Everything is great. The hills here aren't even big. If I go to Valpo, the hills are horrible, but I am just so happy here in my mission.

Week 9

It was a great week. I am so happy in the mission. I don't have much time to write this week, but when do I ever.  I have never walked this much in my life, but it is great. The weather is just like Utah.. it could be freezing in the morning, blazing hot in the afternoon and later rain a little. Super unpredictable, but I love it. I am starting to forget English a little. I love Spanish. It is so much easier now to understand and I feel like I can actually communicate. The fast food is alright, but everything is so big. I ate a complete the size of my arm and a hamburger the size of my face....jaja. I love my mission, it is the best decision I could have ever made in my life.

Week 8

Buena. This week flew by. I don't even know where the time goes. First off, un chiste, there's these trucks here in Chile. They take the gas for people's houses around and they play kid's music, so that you can know they are there. It is hilarious because everytime I hear one I say that is an ice cream truck. This week we had a baptism. It was one of the niños in our branch. I am so grateful to the Lord for blessing me with the opportunity to be here in this sector and for all the miracles I have seen.

Spiritual thought for the week. Everyone is converts, not to the church, but to the Lord. Try to remember the first time you felt his love for you specifically. We are all truly sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, and he knows and loves each of us individually.

Tengan una buena semana, les quiero.

Week 7

Things are great. This week has flown by. We have been searching really hard for investigadores. Tracking everywhere & we stop and talk to every person that we see. Planting as many seeds as we can. We may not see the fruit from our week, but the important thing is that we are putting our full effort in. It was a great week. I guess I'll introduce you guys to Helio y Jessica. They are from Brasil, como mi companero. It is hard because they like to talk to him in Portuguese and I don't understand anything. It sucks, but they are awesome. They want to get baptized, but there need to get married first and they can't get married in Chile, because they don't have their Visas yet. We are praying that they get here soon, if not, eventually they will enter the gate to eternal happiness. Things are great here. Remember we are all Children of our Heavenly Father and he loves us and wants to hear from us. Pray every night and keep your head up. Tengan una buena semana. Les quiero.

Week 6 Chile 1st assignment

I am here finally. I love Chile. I love my new companion. He is from Brasil and doesn't speak any English which is a little bit difficult because I don't speak very much Spanish and obviously no Portuguese. I am so grateful for this work and the people that I get to serve. I love this gospel and I know that Christ lives and directs this church. It has been such a long week and so much has happened and changed, but I am doing great. Les amo. Tengan una buena semana.

I am out of here Monday morning. Headed to the field. Estonia may animado. I can't wait to get down there. Not much goes on here. Just the same thing everyday. One awesome thing that is the same everyday though is the Spirit. The amount of love I feel from God on a daily basis is insane. I have never been so motivated and happy in my life. I love it. I love this Church. I love this Gospel. I love the Lord! Next time you guys hear from me I will be in Chile! Les Amo.

Week 4

I am so ready for the field. This past week was nuts. So on thursday it was Mexican Independence day and there was fireworks all night and music blasting, it was hard to sleep. But it was so much fun. They threw a party for all the missionaries and we watched a mexican ballet. It was really cool to see how another culture celebrates their independence.
The days are flying by down here and I can´t wait until Oct 4. I need to get out in the field. I am driving myself nuts. I want to leave, but I know I need this. I know I need more of the language study. My spanish is coming along and I can understand more of what people say all the time, pero no puedo decir mucho. I hope everyone is doing great at home and just remember that you are all children and God and he loves you! Love you all!

Week 2

Things are great down here. The days are all the same, so there's not much to talk about. I got my hair cut and we went to the temple last p-day and today. Elder Coleman is off to Atlanta and he is going to be a great missionary!! It was a really cool experience to do a session in Spanish. I am so glad for the opportunity I have to be here. Fun Fact: The Mexico City Temple is one of five temples that Angel Moroni is holding the plates. It's going good. Les Amo.

Week One México CCM

Week One:

It´s been a great week. I don´t have much time, but I want to say how much I love it down here. It´s to think I am in Mexico, it doesn´t feel like it. I have two companions because of how it worked out, but it´s great. Elder Pace and Elder McCracken are my best buds now.
So Elder Pace had a gnarly spider bite on his leg, the doctor told us this morning that it was the worst he had ever seen. He entire lower leg was swollen and red, but Elder McCracken and I gave him a priesthood blessing before. I have never felt so close to the Spirit, it felt like there was a third set of hands on his head as we gave him his blessing. I know that the Power of the Priesthood is a real thing. I know that through faith in Jesus Christ, he will bless with anything that we work towards.
Spanish is so much easier than English. I am picking up on the language really well. The gift of tongues is a real thing! There is no way I could have learned as much as I have in the last week as I did without it.
I got called as our District Leader too. It is great. My district is amazing. They all have such a desire to serve the Lord and be the best missionaries that they can be.
The days are long but good, I´m going to the temple today so that should be a big stress reliever. I am so happy to be here and there is no other place I would rather be at this point in my life. I love the Lord and I love all of you.
